Our mission is to provide meaningful employment for people who face barriers in the labour market while producing high-quality artisan bakery products. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to work, grow and contribute to society.

Ugly Cake started as a family bakery with a simple belief: good food can change lives. From the very beginning, our goal was not only to bake delicious products but also to create meaningful jobs.
Growing together
As the bakery expanded, we welcomed employees from different backgrounds, including people facing social exclusion. We developed new recipes, introduced innovative products and proved that business success and social impact can grow together.

Today Ugly Cake is one of Latvia’s recognised work integration social enterprises. We continue developing new products, educational programmes and innovative sales channels, including vending machines and freeze-dried desserts, while staying true to our mission.
